:: simple void ::

sometimes i just interested in taking a picture of something which is very very simple... i wanted to try to demonstrate my feeling of space... from the perspective of an earth dweller i always feel that the sky is FULL of stars/planets/etc .... but it is awe inspiring to think that is really an illusion and the VAST distances in existence are dark beautiful space.... the moon set against the black really reminds me of this

:: sheer ::

a moment as perfect as this happens rarely... at my cousins wedding where i was taking a few photos i stumbled upon all of the jr. bridesmaids playing around an air conditioning vent in the floor... some amazing opportunities for photos...

:: transition ::

after my post about the wolves i thought it was only fitting to show a little more "wild dog" (or not so wild dog) pictures... the other day i took the picture of the puppy up top... i was walking down the street and he was tied to a chair by a little shop... he looked SO happy and his love for life made me radiate... this then made me think of my own dog holly, who is the beautiful pomeranian that you see... i have been much blessed to know her for 11 years and as animals do for many people she has been like a family member... she is also incredibly photogenic which is awesome... well that was my transition from the joy of the wild to the incredible joy and beauty of domestic animals!

:: restrained beauty ::

this is from a jaunt i took just outside of philadelphia a few days ago... there is a wolf preserve not far which is incredible to see... but on the other hand i was a little bit sad... the man who has rescued them from various situations is so nice and cares more for the wolves then anything i have seen before, but it breaks my heart to see them in (even large) fenced in areas... we always think about what was done to other people by humans being so colonial, but a major question we really need to ask ourselves ... is it worth our advancement at the expense of such amazingly graceful animals... sorry for the negative thoughts, but was just on my mind... i hope you enjoy this picture half as much as i enjoyed being at this wolf preserve

:: slow burn ::

the streets of philadelphia can bring with it incredible opportunity for color... the contrast of reds and blues
are some of my favorite...

:: tranquility ::

philadelphia can sometimes seem like a concrete jungle but with a 20 or 30 minute bike ride you can arrive in an area that you would never guess is philadelphia... i go here sometimes for a new viewpoint... my portal to tranquility

:: typical ::

another view from the schuylkill river... this time looking at the famous "boat house row"... at night each of these buildings is lit up by an outline of christmas lights...

:: summer thrills ::

spending time by the schuylkill river is a must do for any philadelphia vistor or long time resident... if you happen to be here for a dragon boat race there aren't many more photogenic events...
